Defrosted and warmed the shoulder in a sous vide circulator bath and sliced the super tender and moist meat onto plates. After a sample taste, I couldn’t wait to plate the entire meal, and devoured a large slice of the succulent goodness. Will try a pulled pork recipe with the left-overs. Terrific meal!
I was not expecting anything because I am not a big fan of pork shoulder or any pork but figured my husband would like it as he loves all pork. Let me just say that I was over the moon on the flavor, texture and overall quality of this meat. I could not stop eating this pork! It was a 3 lb piece with minimal fat. The juices were superb and went well over the roasted potatoes I made with this culinary triumph. After we ate this, I sent for 2 more pork shoulders to put in the freezer. This is a must buy!
The day that the review come in, I had just finished my dinner of the pork cushion.
The pork was perfect moist and very tasty. I am not much of a pork person as it is always very dry and not flavorful. This roast I will purchase again. I serve it with the pesto tortellini and asparagus. It was a meal from the heavens. I really do recommend that if you are a sous vide lover, you try the pork!
